The Prophet by Gibran

and the buds of your tomorrow shall blossom in my heart....

notes for reading The Prophet by Gibran

but i say to you that when you work you fulfill a part of the earth's furthest dream, assigned to you when that dream was born..

and when you work with love you bind yourself to yourself

work is love made visible

your joy is your sorrow unmasked the deeper that sorrows carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. when you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

for the breath of life is in sunlight and the hand of life is in the wind

i have met the soul walking upon my path

your Friend is your needs answered...and let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit

your thought is a bird of space, that in a cage of words may indeed unfold it wings but cannot fly.

and knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream

even those who limp go not backwards
